This pipe has an all natural myrtle bowl and colored maple stem, stained with all natural non-toxic plant based stain. All pipes are finished with a light coat of carnuaba wax, a completely natural and human safe plant based wax.
These pipes are made-to-order, hand-carved from a block of wood just for you after your order is placed right here in my woodworking shop in the beautiful Olympic Peninsula. All orders are gift wrapped for free!

More about the materials I use:
The wood I use to create this pipe bowl is from a rare evergreen hardwood fruit tree, called the Oregon Myrtle (Umbellularia).
Known for the wonderful spicy and woody scent, it has also been called pepperwood, spicebush, cinnamon bush, peppernut tree, mountain laurel, and Balm of Heaven. The dry wood has a color range from blonde (like maple) to brown (like walnut). It is considered a world-class tone wood and is sought after by luthiers, pipe makers and woodworkers.
The Oregon Myrtle, superior to other fruit woods in scent and wood grain, provides a bowl, pleasant taste and is complimented by beautiful wood grains.

Gentry Pipe
Wanted to wait to review this pipe until I'd had a few weeks to get a feel for it and I must say that I am extremely pleased. Could smell the mild spice of the myrtlewood right out of the packaging. It lent a mild (and not unpleasant) woody flavor to the first couple of smokes but sweetened up nicely over the course of the break-in process. It's light in the hand, has an open draw, and is easy to clean. The 'gravity sub-chamber' does a fine job of keeping moisture and tar from creeping up your stem. The only reason that this isn't a 5 star review is that the grain on my particular pipe isn't quite as varied and intricate as the display pipe. Functionally, this this pipe smokes like a dream and I look forward to purchasing several more.

Fantastic pipe, love it
When I first got this, I was elated and was anxious to try it for the first time. It smokes with smooth flow, holding it in my hand It has a solid feel. The red and black design markings on it give a nice texture and unique look. This is a true Tolkien pipe. Thanks Flogglewerks!

Beautiful and unique pipe. Had to have one of these and can tell you that it is already becoming one of my favorite pipes. My Flogglewerks collection is growing and I am still amazed at the quality of these pipes and the prices that they can hand make and ship them for. Appreciate it guys, will be back for more!
