OMG. What a pleasant surprise.
Product: Hobbit 5 Herbal Blend Sampler
Posted By: Happy Customer review:)
Wow, these are wonderful. Really. We were a liiiiiittle skeptical about adding, you know, rose petals and strawberry leaves to our 'baccy, but we decided to try it. And let me tell you -- such a treat. FloggleWerks lets you know how to mix it with your (we used a straight Virginia), and the resulting blend(s) have been totally yum. We got Fellowship #1, and its fruity/floral blends add such nice aroma and taste. We're still experimenting with amounts/proportions, but this is SO much nicer than aromatic s flavored with the taste-equivalent of "red dye #5". No comparison. And the room smells awesome too. We're definitely getting the Fellowship 2 sampler!

Herbal blends: Part 2
I think, like most, I am a little hesitant to start mixing stuff with a fine tobacco. On the other hand, I love the smell of aromatics but can't stand the taste. The idea of having an aromatic without a topping was an intriguing one. My fiancee' gave me this set along with a custom engraved Serenity pipe as a wedding present. What a great surprise! We took a bit of the "Gandalf the Grey" and mixed it with some Dunhill Three Year Matured Virginia. We wanted to give it as neutral of a base as possible to let the flavor of the herbs come through. That was a good choice. This stuff is amazing. As dark as the flavor is, it has no bite and is light and pleasing on the tongue. Can't wait to try the other flavors, they all smell great!

These Herbal blends are the best I have tried a few others they are average the have the right balance and the no e part is the do blend well with real tobacco or they make a real nice stand a lone yea.all I can say is what a nice surprise.
Nothing but the best.

Herbal Blends
I have purchased all 3 of the available herbal blends as of this review- Fellowship 1&2 and Maidens and tried several mixed with tobacco and that was pretty good. I then tried some as a tea and for me thats where these really shine. I usually add sugar or honey to my tea but the ones I've tried from these didn't require anything but hot water! To say I'm impressed is an understatement.

Amazing discovery
-Composite review- As one that smokes tobacco since a decade, trying any kind of pure tobacco, blended, mixture, english, oriental, aromatized and everything in between, i've never even imagined the thought of adding some herb and spice to what was already sold as a "perfect" product, even if i knew that tobacco smoking is a rather recent thing (less than 300 years against millennia of pipesmoking) And so... here's the discovery. Truly, truly TRULY impressed! First try with frodo's burden, and i was already caught away! The juniper berry and its resin-like smell, and the dense body of the strawberry-blueberry leafs. Then Gimli's axe... so sweet, and with the cinnamon's pieces that gives that unique smell in the air and gives a taste reminding of rustic cakes. ...and what to say about sam's strenght? Chamomille. Something i was used to think of it as a pure "tealike" herb, now burning so smoothly, giving that unique taste. Surprised and certainly will delve deeper in the realm of herbal smokes.
