Love it

I call this my peace pipe because I had John 14:27 placed on the bowl and it looks and smokes great.

4 smokes in, and I already love this little churchwarden. The all-wood stem drafts great, and keeps a firm seal to the bowl. The bowl is beautifly crafted, and I am enjoying breaking it in slowly. My only complaint is that it is a little smaller than I had originally thought; the opening is around 3/4 inches across, and it is not much more than an inch deep, but that just means I will be ordering a couple more! I am still breaking in the bowl, so I haven't really put it though the paces yet, but I am impressed how well it stays lit even while smoking very cool.

Beautiful piece, Ive bought three pipes from Flogglewerks each of them, exactly what i was looking for. The quality is perfunctory, no complaints, the draw is very smooth even after years of caking the pipes ive owned have haled numerous compliments, even from non smokers. The shape of the mouthpiece fits perfectly between your teeth and the separation from bowl and stem aid in quicker cleaning. The flavor the wood imbues into the smoke makes for a relaxing experience, a smooth spicey flavor that after 5 years of use has never faded.

First, the pipe is beautiful. Very well crafted. I have been wanting to try the myrtle wood pipes since I first saw them....and they do not disappoint. The wood itself is very fragrant, and puffing in an unsmoked bowl there is a pleasant taste....somewhat spiced, yet it reminds me of sassafras. Sassafras is a wood I plan to craft a pipe from soon for this reason. The myrtle feels much harder than the maple pipes, and seems to deal with heat a bit better as well. The fire rustication on the bowl was expertly done. The burned areas do not exceed the outlines of the carving at all. It is also a very light pipe, like the 2 maples I have from flogglewerks, making it an excellent pipe in the hand or the clench. Once lit, the myrtle shows its quality by infusing it's own unique flavor and aroma into the blend you are smoking. For this reason, I find that a natural Cavendish tobacco is best suited to this pipe. If I were to smoke an herbal blend from it, I think a sweet floral blend would be complimented nicely by the wood. Something with chamomile and perhaps a touch of lavender. The wood itself is so flavorful and aromatic that I find myself satisfied by clenching and puffing the empty pipe between smokes. Very happy with the purchase and will absolutely be purchasing more flogglewerks pipes in the future. In fact, I can no longer enjoy my vast assortment of briar, cob or meerschaum the same since discovering this company.

My pipe is quite new, and still in the “breaking in” period (4 smokes, maybe), but I can say without hesitation: it’s a keeper! The stipling is very nice, the stem-to-bowl fit is solid. The break in process is going well, and the smoking experience is cool and enjoyable. For the price, I am far more than sarisfied, and will definitely be ordering from you folks again. Thanks so much for a fine, solid product; it’s going to provide me with many hours of pleasure, I’m sure.

This is my second Flogglewerks pipe and I have plans to add another 2 in the very near future. There are no words to adequately describe how pleased I am with these pipes; I have a handful of other pipes (a couple on the spendy end) and none of them come close to the draw and comfort of these pipes. My search for a better pipe is over- I'll be making mine Flogglewerks from now on.

The initial smoke on it was far better then expected. Would definitely buy another and recommend
